We have used Stainless Steel nozzle tips in the past for all reagents however on new instruments we now use PEEK nozzle tips for all reagents except for Wash and Deblock.
On new instruments for Wash and Deblock we use only Teflon tubing with no inserts.
If you want the original Stainless Steel nozzle tips you can order these.
The reason we changed to PEEK nozzle tips is because some of the stainless steel tips were rusting. Our supplier claimed they are 316 SS which should not rust however they cannot guarantee them for use with any particular reagent or process.
Many customers said that they wanted the Stainless Steel nozzles back even if they did rust therefore we now offer the delivery nozzle tubes with either PEEK tips or with 316 Stainless Steel nozzle tips.
We cannot guarantee that the Stainless Steel nozzle tips will not rust.
